Adolfson and Peterson, the general contracting firm that built Cottonwood's Recreation Center, Friday presented a $50,000 donation check to the Parks and Recreation Department. The check is intended to benefit special needs children and after school programs.
Vice-President of A & P Bryan Dunn said, "We think of ourselves as community builders. The biggest gratification for us is making a difference in a community, rather than simply building a building." A & P project manager, John Barry, who was on the jobsite for the 18 month construction, said, "We have become part of the community. We want to work here again, if possible, and wanted to give back to the community. This building has received recognition for its high quality and beauty. It is a very high-end structure." A & P has built about 30 recreation centers in several states.
