Anthony's Restaurant

Bremerton, Washington

This project for Anthony’s Restaurant in Bremerton included many unique finishes, as well as innovative and difficult structural requirements—neither of which is typically encountered in a standard restaurant.

The project was built of structural steel, upon a post-tensioned concrete slab that is shared with the Kitsap Conference Center, Kitsap Transit Offices, Hampton Inn, and Washington State Ferry Terminal. Special care was required in placing the steel column base plates so as to not damage the existing post-tensioned slab tendons.

Once the structure was complete and the restaurant's standard finishes were installed, Rushforth constructed a variety of unique features, including the wood “cloud” ceiling, back bar glass shelving with light projected completely through the wall, a broken ceramic tile mosaic floor, and numerous custom light fixtures in the shapes of crab and salmon.
