Labor Ready Tower

Tacoma, Washington

Rushforth was selected to renovate the historic Weyerhaeuser Building, with the goal of creating a new World Headquarters for Labor Ready. The scope of this renovation entailed two buildings—a 100,000 square foot, ten-story structure in built in 1910, and a 120,000 square foot, twelve-story structure built in 1955. Each facility was upgraded to meet ADA requirements, after which we built new offices and conference rooms throughout both buildings, added a new cafeteria, upgraded the mechanical and electrical systems, and installed all new finishes. In keeping with the one building's original design, Rushforth historically restored the A Street entrance with new granite, natural wood doors, and limestone, all of which had been covered over by the previous building owner.
