The Salem Conference Center provides the Willamette Valley region of Oregon with the ultimate in elegance, technology, and full-service amenities for conventions, meetings, and events. Its 78,000 square foot space encompasses 14 different rooms totalling 29,400 square feet, which can be configured for any type of convention, theatre, banquet space, trade show, or educational activity. Other areas include a state of the art professional catering kitchen, banquet facilities, a public art gallery, and a grand outdoor public plaza.
Throughout both design and construction, the facility incorporated numerous LEED® certification elements and green building practices for environmentally responsible development—such as its elaborate operable curtain wall system that maximizes natural light and cross ventilation.
The three-story building was constructed of structural steel and concrete, and incorporates large timber members to create a dramatic Northwest feel. Beneath the facility, a 105,000 square foot underground parking structure provides space for 280 vehicles.
